This two day course aims to give delegates hands-on experience in using Photoshop's more advance features. Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard software for digital imaging and is used for a multitude of applications; photographic retouching, graphic design, web development and multimedia.

Aimed at users with some experience of Photoshop and who wish to further the knowledge.

Prerequisites:

  1. To ensure success on this course, we recommend you first take our 'introduction to Photoshop ' 3 day course or have equivalent experience or knowledge.

  • Using Layer Comps to create multiple versions.
  • Advanced selection techniques – paths,
  • Layer masks
  • Clipping Masks – applying transparency based masks to single or multiple layers
  • Adjustment and fill layers
  • Working with layer groups

  • Type layers as masks
  • Layer styles – creating styles, going into depth with style parameters
  • Working with vectors – creating custom vector shapes, using the pen tool to create accurate Bezier curves.
  • Transformations – pixels, paths and selections, with free transform, step and repeat.
  • Working with complex brushes.
  • Warp transformations.
  • Using the Blur filters. Retouching and adjustments
  • Retouching using masks and fillters.
  • Selective adjustments.
