Sam Obot

Sam has been a tutor for over 9 years. He specialises in manual and automated software testing. You will gain knowledge and experience of manual and automated software testing based on theory and structured practical work provided during his course. He will empower you with the skills you need to impress potential employers and open doors that were previously closed to you. From preparing you with typical interview questions to ensuring your CV is fit for purpose Sam will be there for you like he has many other students who are now reaping the rewards in their new career as software test analysts.

He has have over 17 years commercial experience working in testing and development. A dedicated professional with excellent skills who has worked as a test manager/test lead/ tester / test analyst on several projects. He has created several test strategies, test plans, test approaches and testing frameworks based on various technologies such as SAP, JAVA, Android, mobile apps,.Net, Oracle, Siebel legacy systems, 3rd party and other bespoke systems. He has worked both in manual testing and test automation on various scales of projects - small, medium and large. He has also used different methodologies such as Agile, V-Model, ASAP, Waterfall, RAD, RUP, etc A lot of his work has involved the transition from unit testing to integration testing to system testing to user acceptance testing (UAT) to regression testing.
He has also been involved in a variety of non- functional testing roles(load, performance, stress, soak, disaster recovery, back-up, failover, security).

Ralph

Ralph has over 10 years of Financial Services experience as a Business Analyst with many years as a trainer. He is vastly experienced in the System Development Lifecycle in PC based and web based applications including open source and Commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications within the Banking, Insurance and Financial Service Sector. Ralph started his career in the banking industry and has worked with the likes of HSBC, Royal bank of Scotland (Commercial & Private banking), Aviva, Admiral, Royal Sun Alliance, Direct Line and Legal & General. He has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (University of Wolverhampton) ISEB Certified – Business Analysis, ISEB Certified – Software Testing, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator, Agile Certified Prince 2 and a CIBAP certified Chartered Accountant.

She is passionate about automated solution of Web, Mobile and Performance testing, currently working as a Lead Automation QA in Agile Environment and is certified in Scrum (Agile), ISTQB, and Microsoft SQL Server.

David Airs - CeMAP

David worked with Liverpool Victoria for 18 years and through various promotions through to Area Inspector for the North West, then became a self employed Financial Adviser and Mortgage Adviser working through companies such as Manulife, Premium Life and Legal & General via Premier Financial Management (PFM) based in Oxfordshire. Very soon he became known as ‘Mr Legal and Technical’ through his understanding of the Regulation that was being introduced into the Industry. Of course, this meant taking and passing the Financial Planning Certificate in the 90’s and then CeMap by 31 October 2004.

 By now PFM were 35 strong and as part of his Compliance Managerrole he had to train the new recruits. From then on, training became the number one focus to the extent that he wanted to do it full time. He left PFM (2009)  to become a full time trainer with DNA training in Central London,  training The Sales Process (BTEC Advanced Certificate) and CeMap.

His 40 years of industry experience is unquestionable. With the competition in this Industry fiercer now than it has ever been, David delivers expert training to enable students to pass the CeMAP exams to get into the Industry and invaluable information on how to survive in it.
