Introduction to Illustrator (Level 1)

Discover high quality drawing and illustration with Adobe Illustrator . You will start with an overview of Illustrator and work on lessons that will step you into a greater skill level. Explore the unique features of Adobe Illustrator, including how to create logos, professional type effects, complex airbrush effects and color control. This course is totally hands-on.

This course is intended for designers, publishers, pre-press professionals, marketing communications professionals, or people switching to a design job or taking on design responsibilities, who need to use Illustrator to create illustrations, logos, advertisements, or other graphic documents.Graphics professionals who need an essential understanding of vector illustrations.

The amount of material covered in class is quite vast (see outline below). It's therefore required that students are comfortable using a mouse, opening/ saving files and with the general operation of computers. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students with insufficient skills still wanting to take this course should first consider undertaking an IT skills course so as to not slow down the rest of the class.
