Our Photoshop Introduction course enables delegates with no previous experience of Photoshop to acquire a range of techniques that can be used both for print and the screen. On this three day course you will look at topics such as images for both print and online production, retouching and compositing techniques.

Suitable for:
Anyone that is new to; and needs to work on anything from original artwork, to photographic image enhancement.

Prerequisites:

  • Good keyboard and mouse skills with a working knowledge of the Windows environment.
  • No experience using Adobe PhotoShop is assumed.

  • Understanding Photoshop and its interface
  • Understanding resolution and images
  • An introduction to the differences between raster and vector artwork
  • Working with Photoshop’s toolbar (Creating selections and working with colour)
  • Working with colour adjustment tools in Photoshop
  • Working with layers
  • Understanding layer styles
  • Adding and manipulating text and using the wrap text feature in Photoshop
  • Slicing images for use on the internet
  • Understanding file formats and compression
  • Exporting images for print and the web
  • Working with ImageReady to create simple animation
