To develop candidate’s basic multimedia design skills. To also develop candidate’s underpinning knowledge of the elements of multimedia content and provide a basis for progression into other areas of study or employment.
The qualification consists of four mandatory units:
- Unit 01 Explore multimedia products and processes
- Unit 02 Understand and use computer systems in a multimedia design environment
- Unit 03 Explore ideas and create multimedia content
- Unit 04 Assemble multimedia products to produce final work
Suitable for:
The NCFE Foundation Certificate in Multimedia Design is an ideal qualification for those who wish to obtain underpinning knowledge of multimedia design processes and principles. Candidates may wish to pursue these studies in Further Education or use this knowledge to make more informed career choices.
Prerequisites:
- Good keyboard and mouse skills with a working knowledge of the Windows environment.
- No previous multimedia design experience is assumed.
- Candidates should be aware that they should not register with NCFE or any other awarding body for a qualification at the same level with the same, or a similar, title as this could lead to duplication.
